You can't take the sky from me...

Cindy | July 23, 2009

I love cakes. I love cakes shaped as different thing and now we have Serenity!!! It was bound to happen sooner and later so here it is! Can't say I love it but it is pretty impressive. I think they could have done a much better job, but it's still Serenity. Thumbs up!

And the theme song because you know want to sing along. :D

Ugh

Petar | July 23, 2009

Someone started turning on the radio at work early in the morning. These are the songs I listen to all day. There's a couple more, but the day I post Beyoncé and Lady GaGa on my own site is the day pigs start flying fighter jets.

Life on Earth Came From Other Planets

Petar | July 23, 2009

PRESS RELEASE: Life on Earth came from other planets. So concludes a major scientific article which will appear in the inaugural issue of the online science journal, Cosmology.com

...

Most scientists believe all Earthly life descended from the first unicellular creatures that appeared on this planet. Based on an extensive and detailed analysis and
synthesis of over 100 research reports published in prestigious scientific journals, Dr. Joseph concludes that innumerable microbes, and their DNA, survived the cataclysm
that wrought destruction to the parent star which gave birth to our own. As only life can produce life, then life on Earth also came from life which may have originated on
planets which orbited the parent star.

Sounds like Battlestar Galactica to me.

100 Things Your Kid Will Never Know

Petar | July 23, 2009

Interesting and funny, check it out -here-.

Here's a few examples:

4. The number of TV channels being a single digit. I remember it being a massive event when Britain got its fourth channel.
6. Rotary dial televisions with no remote control. You know, the ones where the kids were the remote control.
17. That there was a time before ‘reality TV.’
19. The scream of a modem connecting.
26. Tweaking the volume setting on your tape deck to get a computer game to load, and waiting ages for it to actually do it. (Petar's note: oh Commodore 64, how much fun we had making those vertical lines appear straight. LOAD ERROR? WHAT!?)
28. Counting in kilobytes.
29. Wondering if you can afford to buy a RAM upgrade.
30. Blowing the dust out of a NES cartridge in the hopes that it’ll load this time.
71. Remembering someone’s phone number.
72. Not knowing who was calling you on the phone.
73. Actually going down to a Blockbuster store to rent a movie.

And my favorites:

80. Starbuck being a man.
81. Han shoots first.
82. “Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father.” But they’ve already seen episode III, so it’s no big surprise.
100. When a ‘geek’ and a ‘nerd’ were one and the same.

Every summer I look forward to SYTYCD and this summer hasnt been the exception. The first week was amazing everyone seemed to their very best. After that it's been kind of slow and most of the choreography has been so so.

First week: Ashley and Kupono
This dance was simply awesome! I liked the whole concept of the Crash dummies. The little dog is adorable!!

will post the rest later...
